In times like these when prices of things are going up and yet, interest rates for savings are dropping, it is very depressing to see my savings not increasing much. I just checked and noticed the bank is only giving me 2.35% per annum. That’s one crummy returns for my fixed deposits.

So, I am going to spread out my investments into foreign exchange, gold and mutual trusts. Then, there is the investment in gold coins and silver coins which a lot of people are talking about. Some of these coins are rare old coins and they fetch a lot of money.

Recently, I notice the number of thick skin people who never stop commenting eventhough I openly dissed them. Then, there are those who keep coming back day after day eventhough I intentionally skip replying their comments.

I just returned from a funeral wake. Now, have to prepare my things for tomorrow morning because the course I am taking starts at 9.30 am. That means I got to wake early, get the kids’ bags pack because I won’t be around to send them to class in church in the afternoon.

Then, it looks like I need to go to church early on Sunday morning because I won’t be able to go on Saturday evening or Sunday at 10 am. Yawn….Looks like it is going to be a long, long week ahead. With the festival coming up, it will be non-stop running around.

Back to the funeral, it is kind of sad to attend one funeral after another. Just yesterday, I found the video I took from the previous funeral I attended. The young man was killed in a car accident. Sigh…so sad to see all these senseless deaths. I hope they will be able to hire some motorcycle accident attorneys and get justice done.

At the end of the year, the weather is exceptionally dry. I need to slather lots and lots of moisturiser, lip balm and skin care. However, this is not as dry as those countries that experience colder climate.

There was this one time when I was in Hongkong and the skin on my legs cracked and almost bleed. I didn’t notice it until there were lines and the skin feels like breaking apart. I had to find a doctor to get some intensive care for the skin and couldn’t use soap to bath for a long time.

Now I wonder, if I am continously exposed to this sort of climate, will I dry up like a prune, all wrinkly and dry? Maybe I even need solution for vaginal dryness. Bwahahaha….OK, I am rambling. I know these are two different things.

One of my blog reader Cariso left a link that some of the characters in The Gem of Life represents some real life characters in Hong Kong. Unfortunately, the site is in Mandarin so I do not know how to read.

But then, they have photos and with Google Translate, it is not so hard to guess who is who. For example, Bowie Lam character is similar to Albert Yeung, the entertainment tycoon. Meanwhile, Li Ka Shing, the famous Hongkong tycoon is copied by the character, Ho Fung or Yue Hwa.

I have watched episode 57 of The Gem of Life online and really, it is such a boring drama because they have skipped two years. It ended with Constance in Tibet (I think) and whom does she bumped into but her ex-boyfriend? Boring…

I have just watched episode 56 The Gem of Life online. I watched it on asian-dramas.com. Quality is bad, there is no English subtitles but I do get the storyline of it.

Almost the whole episode 56 is about Constance and Terrance. Jessica has solved the conflict and no, Jessica and Terrance did not divorce. Constance wants to divorce Terrence but she found out that Elise was the culprit who made the fake ring.

The most suspenseful part of the episode 56 of The Gem of Life is towards the end when someone killed a boy in a accident. However, another person make fake police report to claim responsibility. Now, you are curious who are they? I won’t tell you, you better watch it yourself because I know I hate spoilers on the Gem of Life.

I have watched episode 55 of The Gem of Life online and I do not like it at all. Episode 55 of The Gem of Life is so boring, I almost have no review of it.

There is no suspense, no drama and it is filled with too many coincidences to be believed. Elise tricked Wong Hei to make a similar wedding ring like the one Terrence gave to Constance. She took it to Paris, gave it to Terrence, bluffing him the ring is returned by Constance as a sign of divorce. And she bedded Terrence. Then, the door bell rang and it was Constance trying to surprise Terrence in Paris. Pthooi what a load of craps.

Then, the toy boy wanna Bosco Wong is contemplating donating part of his liver to Melissa. Calvin is encouraging him because it will help his company. Another load of crap. At least show that Bosco is in love with the old auntie or something, trying to save her life or something corny like that. But no…it is done with ambitions to advance in his career.

Since there is not English subtitles in Episode 55 of The Gem of Life, my review could be wrong ‘cos I only half understand the conversation.
