What is your preferred hair removal method?
After my last hairy post, I had been wondering what other women choose for hairs removal? Please, please don’t tell me you don’t have the faintest idea ‘cos you just let them grow wild?
Here are my normal procedures -
Brows – Tweezer and tiny wax strips
Legs – Spray on cream and epilator. Do avoid that foamy type ‘cos it sucks.
And if you are a pregnant woman and expecting to deliver your baby soon, know that you will be at the mercy of the midwives and their shavers. *shudders* It is one of the humilating part of giving birth where you will be shaved clean and the worst possible thing apart from recovering from episiotomy or a caesarean section birth is the stubbles found down there.
I don’t know what is worst. The pain of the healing wound or the stubbles that look like the chin of a hairy man. *sobs* Thank goodness my giving birth years are over. Alleluaia!
I don’t know if it is worth it to go for laser hair removal or permanent hair removal. I won’t be finding out ‘cos I am not that hairy. But in case, you are interested to know, here’s what I steal from the web:
How can the laser remove the hair ?
The laser emits an invisible light which penetrates the skin without damaging it; it is then absorbed by the pigments of the pilous follicle. The laser light selectively absorbed by the follicle damages its functions and impairs its ability to fabricate hair. At the level of the pilous follicle, the laser light absorbed by the pigments is then transformed into heat which damages the hair but not the surrounding skin.
- “Permanent” hair removal methods
- Electric hair removal
- Until recently, electric hair removal was the only method allowing for prolonged removal of unsightly hair. The doctor inserts a very fine needle in the hair to “coagulate” its bulb. The process is effective but very long and tiresome, treatment often lasting several years.
- Electrolysis
- This technique used in English-speaking countries is not very well known in France, its effectiveness is comparable to that of electrical hair removal used in France.
Pssst…do you know that women with hairier bodiesare endowed with more testosterone (male hormone) and hence, have higher sex drive? I have a friend whom went through two marriages and several lovers and she does have lots of hair, including moustache! She is very pretty, though. So, guys, if you are reading this, don’t get turn off with some of the hairs you found on the chick. It is a good sign!
