Food and sex as a relationship glue
I like to read the women’s section on Timesonline.co.uk on Sundays because they have such amusing and daring thoughts. None of the regular stuffs we read in our local papers because we are such conservative people. Moreover, I bet none of us would dare to say anything out loud due to our people who enjoy condemning and criticising people.
This article on Trophy husbands is a good read. One para caught my eyes:
Sex and food are the glue that can hold together the marriage of a powerful woman, says Elaine Molesworth, who works in a senior position in publishing and has always earned more than her husband.
She confided: “My theory about how to keep the husband happy, if you are in the power position, is that you have to do the sex and the food as much as possible. Even if you don’t feel like it. You have to do that to make the marriage work, even though that’s quite unfeminist. If you want to have it all, you have to do it all. I don’t mind cooking, and I do the odd thing in the boudoir . . .” (long article here on Timesonline)
I am right all along. I once blogged in my personal blog that the way to the husband’s heart is through the stomach and many disagreed with me. Like it or not, males very much have the cavemen mentality where they like to be served. Though not blatantly ‘me master, you slave’ kinda act, I bet those successful, powerful, women politicians and CEOs have to turn domesticated wives back home eventhough they run a country as a career.
