Abusive relationships

I was privy to some personal matters of another family and heard about this woman whom as physically abused by the husband. I had seen from far and heard about such relationships and am rather numbed to it. Eventhough I am a woman, I will not 100% take side with the woman alone because as far as I know, domestic issues are often both sides of the story.

For example, a woman should stand up for her rights. Get out of the home. Seek help. Make a police report, get a medical report for the injuries and take photos or whatever. One cannot just sit there and wait for things to happen. I wish some of these women will take more proactive measures like that.
