Should we buy a bigger home?

I was lamenting to dear hubby about how small our current apartment is. But it is the best solution because right now, we are living next to the primary school where my #3 son is attending. In another two years time, my #5 son is going to that school too. Meanwhile, my older two sons can easily commute between our home and their secondary school because of the easy access to public buses.

We talked about getting an apartment with at least four bedrooms. However, it is not such a great idea because it may means going back on paying monthly home loans. I don’t know about others but I enjoy a life without loans. Gone were the days when we were much younger and have secured home loan, car loans and a multitude of things we bought on credit.

Right now, we are almost settled and hence, doesn’t have to deal with this. Of course, one can hardly afford to live a life without secured loan because essentially, we cannot earn enough to afford the things we need if we do not take a loan.
