Is there a way to ensure perfectly healthy baby?

Once, a friend of mine gave birth to a baby with severe chromosomes disorders. The baby wasn’t supposed to survive outside the womb but she did. The gutsy baby survived for several weeks before she died. So, I took my friend to see a doctor friend whom I wanted to provide her consolation. We talked in length about the reasons because my friend was bogged down by the ‘whys’.

My doctor friend assured my friend that it is ok to get pregnant again as the chances of another baby with the same problem is very rare. However, it took my friend some years before she dare to to it again.

Well, now with all the medical breakthrough, one can actually have more tests like the preimplantation genetic diagnosis. Though some faiths and individuals may not agree with it, one has to go through giving birth to a birth disorder baby to understand the pain. When one is in that situation, all these options may sound like a way to assure the mother with a safer and smoother pregnancy.
