The evergreen Elton John

I am currently watching the recorded concert of Elton John’s 60th birthday. Awww…he and his husband is so shweeet…… I guess he has made many gays being able to tie their nuptial knot and follow his footsteps?

Elton’s songs have been my daily staple as I was growing up. In fact he has been around for decades, since I was 10 to 20 to even 40. Some of the more memorable songs are :

1) Sacrifice

2) Daniel

3) I’ve been standing

4) Yellow brick road

and that Princess Diana’s funeral song aka Marilyn Monroe suicide song

5) Candle in the wind.

Elton is a genius and most of his songs are so sing-able. Once you heard it, you tend to sing along with him like..”I’m still standing after all these years…” He can play a fast tune and a slow melody with ease and that’s what makes him special. Happy birthday, Elton!
