I recall the amount of politics involve when my previous company was about to move to a new office. My boss was the decision maker and who sits where and assign which level of phones and etc. Then, there is the office decorations and the different ‘class’ of furniture.

Where I came from, we were pretty much the Chinaman company where equality is unheard of. You are assign office furniture that suits the level of your position. I was lucky as I was a secretary with a glass office of my own. It was a total glass wall, just like a goldfish swimming in a tank. Now, when I look back, I realised that I was a total biatch because all those different ‘classes’ didn’t apply to me because my office has to project the image to suit my boss. So, I had the best of everything which other colleagues could only envy. Even top management cannot match my office. Woohoo, the privilege of being a secreatary.
