Have you been in debt?
I can proudly say that I haven’t been in messy situations whereby I owed every relatives and friends money. The most I had done was to owe the bank for my car and housing loan. That too are paid on time every month without any default. Now, at my age, I don’t have anymore loans to service.
Whatever my hubby earned are not safely kept in the bank, spent a little and that’s it. No more worrying days about loan and things we cannot afford. No more car loan and payment dues. I think we could only achieve this because both of us are discipline and we do not spend beyond our means. No designer clothes or latest gadgets. No branded items or flashy cars.
I wish more people are as frugal so that people do not have to resort to borrowing money and getting unsecured loans. Nowadays, loans are so easy to obtain and people tend to spend more than they should. I wonder if both hubby and I would have overspent if it is that easy to get a loan? I don’t think so. We just hate owing people money.
