How important are friendships with the opposite sex?

I am talking about friendships with the opposite sex. The platonic kind. It is very important to me. I have male friends more than female even when I was in school. Maybe, in there in my soul lurks a male soul? I don’t find friendship with the same sex as easy as with males.

Women tend to pry into us more than men. It is annoying when women ask all sort of questions. Then, I tend to get very cautious as I had been betrayed many times. In the end, I prefer to keep male friends whom I can nudge when I need a second opinion and yet, just ignore when we don’t need them. With female friends, they tend to wonder if we do not keep in touch. They will come up with all sorts of theories.

So, male friends are very important to me. More than women. Unless the woman is one whom have short memories and don’t give me too much nosey parker stories.
