Estee Lauder vs. Bobbi Brown’s colours

I am from the 80s when Estee Lauder and Cosmopolitan rules. I grew up with a big dose of Cosmopolitan from the US because back then, the old copies were sold very cheap. But these few years, I no longer dig those magazines because hey, I have been there, done that. Almost.

I also outgrow Estee Lauder because it seems ‘old’ to use Estee. I have been using Bobbi Brown recently. For my age, it is better to look natural and Bobbi Brown does give that. But many times, my kids have been commenting that I look too pale. They usually hang around me when I was putting on make-up so they are the best critics.

Since, I got Estee’s pack of complete make-up, I tried Estee and found that it is totally different from Bobbi Brown. I can’t quite find the words to say how different. Estee’s colours are natural with shimmer (not horrendously sparkling but shimmering) while Bobbi Brown is all matt.

Overall, it is nice to switch between these two brands for the time being. Anyway, Fall and Winter colors don’t suit me because Fall color tones make me look haggard while Winter’s bright colours make me tarty. LOL. I shall wait till Spring again.
