Something pretentious about wine?

I have subscribed to some wine and dine magazines and no matter how hard I tried, I just cannot memories all the different types of grapes, vineyards, wines and vintage. I had read a lot because I want to make sure that I am able to differentiate a Merlot from a Sauvignon or Chardonnay. I don’t want to be the noob who only knows red and white. I want to learn how to pair off meals with wine.

Maybe it is quite pretentious of me but when I stepped foot into a wine cellar, I want to be able to discern good wine from cheap wine. So, if you are just like me, keen to learn and wish to get the best deal, do check out this site and their wine of the month club.
