The lonely hearts club
The other day, I stumbled upon the history of how people start online dating. Do you know that back in the 1950s, people were already into this? Of course, back then, they probably started with penpal which I believe is a foreign word to most people in their 20s and maybe early 30s. Long before the existence of the internet, people get to know each other through regular snail mail.
I remembered well back then, they have these sections in magazines and newspapers of eligible singles looking for friends. Back then, things were much more innocent and they would put their real address and they were not worried of getting raped. LOL. By mentioning back then, I am talking about the 60s and early 70s when my older siblings were into such magazines.
Online Dating is now the norm and you can practically find all sorts of methods where single folks put up their ‘advertisement’. Now, they have video, audio and even live video for singles searching for partners. And if you need some online dating tips on how to deal with the first online date or what to put down in your profile, you can file all these help online too. Now, is there any excuse NOT to find a partner?
