Tribute at Lydia Shum funeral from TVB actors

Someone once told me…..if you want to know how well a person has lived, you have to wait till they are already in the coffin and the nails have been nailed down. That’s when we can know how respected the person is.

Fei Jeh or Lydia Shum’s death has made a lot of her fans here in Malaysia rather sad. I was in tear when I watched the last video of her on stage. She is the epitome of a loving mother and a dedicated entertainer. She has always show how caring she is towards the rest of the entertainers. I remember watching a few of her concerts where she dotted over Leon Lai and Andy Lau.

TVB held a special show this evening, Lydia, We Will Always Remember You < 肥姐我們永遠懷念您>, which brought together many of Lydia’s friends, colleagues and co-stars over the years to pay tribute to her, recall their memories of happy times shared and say their goodbyes to her.

Among the many celebrities and artistes who took part were Lydia’s godbrother Alan Tang (鄧光榮), Shek Sau (石修), Ng Lai Chu (吳麗珠), Ha Yu (夏雨), Chan Man Yee (陳敏兒), Liu Kai Chi (廖啟智), Tsoi Wo Ping (蔡和平), Timmy Hung (洪天明) and Carlo Ng (吳家樂).

Hosted by Eric Tsang (曾志偉) and Carol Cheng (鄭裕玲), who were themselves very emotional through the show, the tribute also took telephone calls from many of Lydia’s friends from overseas, including Ivan Ho (何守信), Jia Ling (嘉玲) and Du Ping (杜平).
