I watched the uncut, uncensored Lust, Caution starring Tony Leung and Tang Wei and must say it is one of the most bold movie coming from conservative Asia. There are several scenes of nudity and Tang Wei played her role very well. I don’t pay much attention to her (and I don’t have the DVD anymore) but more on Tony Leung and his bulging veins. However, what I remember about Tang Wei naked scenes are her armpits hair. Back in those days, of course, women don’t shave, I suppose? There are no hair removal cream and certainly no laser hair removal treatment.

I just read that China now has problems dealing with Tang Wei because of that. She was featured in Pond’s advertisement for 6 million yuan. There are words that now, China may not allow it! Oh what a prude! It is only some nudity. Moreover, Tang Wei’s character in Lust, Caution is not some ‘loose woman’ scene.
