I love this flower so much. It is a tiny red, furry flower I found during one of my holidays. I call it the pom-pom girls national flower because it is like those pom-pom the cheerleaders hold. You can actually pluck off the tiny, hairy, read petals.
If I have the money to own a home at the Outer Banks, I will probably plant a few in my garden. The flower looks so fragile and soft. And do you know? When those red hairy petal drops off, the plant will have a nice lovely black seed.
