The thing about being married for two decades is our level of tolerance. We have come to this point in our lives where we are pretty independent with our interests. So, hubby was itching to get a home theater system because he loves movies. Meanwhile, I do not care much about the quality of sound and picture. I go for substance of the movies storyline. Just give me any good movie with compelling tale and if the quality is not very good, I wouldn’t mind.

So, we have manage to remain civil because I can tolerate his obsession with movies quality, sound system and such while he understands that those are not important to me. I do not care how much he is going to spend on the system and he doesn’t care if I am going to watch the movies along with him. He has his kids to keep him discussing about the plot while I have my iMac to watch my girlie movies. Peace on earth.
