Why no luggages in Quantum of Solace?

I watched Quantum of Solace, the James Bond flick the other day. I am used to the James Bond movies by Sean Connery and am used to the gadgets he had in those cool luggages.

However, this new and modern James Bond does not carry briefcase with gadgets anymore. How can James Bond be James Bond without gadgets? It just seem so uncool without one of these Zero Halliburton cool luggages.
