I just hate this song. I used to spend my new year’s eve with my ex-company because our boss had the great idea to hold our annual sales department dinner on a new year’s eve. So, for at least 5-6 years, I never get to celebrate any New Year’s Eve with my then-bf, now husband because I was the organiser of the dinner. Like it or not, I have to grudgingly arrange the dinner and the entertainment.
So, Auld Lang Syne was like the staple song for New Year’s Eve. If you do not know the auld lang syne lyrics, here they are, copied from Wiki.
Should old acquaintance be forgot,
and never brought to mind ?
Should old acquaintance be forgot,
and old times since ?CHORUS:
For auld lang syne, my dear,
for auld lang syne,
we’ll take a cup of kindness yet,
for auld lang syne. And surely you’ll buy your pint cup !
And surely I’ll buy mine !
And we’ll take a cup o’ kindness yet,
for auld lang syne.CHORUS
We two have run about the slopes,
and picked the daisies fine ;
But we’ve wandered many a weary foot,
since auld lang syne.CHORUS
We two have paddled in the stream,
from morning sun till dine† ;
But seas between us broad have roared
since auld lang syne.CHORUS
And there’s a hand my trusty friend !
And give us a hand o’ thine !
And we’ll take a right good-will draught,
for auld lang syne.CHORUS
I personally prefer this Same Old Lang Syne by the late Dan Fogelberg

For some strange reason, I do not have the need to splurge and spend money on Christmas. Maybe I am answering the Pope’s call to not get sucked into commercialism and materialism. Or maybe there is nothing to be very happy. Maybe I have not been that deep in faith. Or could it be due to hubby’s tight schedule and we have very little time to spend as a family.
He has been working till late and on weekends, my children and I have been busy with churchy stuffs while on Sundays, the time is filled with more churchy stuffs and his game of badminton. I hope things will settle and we can get back into routine. So, I shall just let this year Christmas passes by with little celebration.
Maybe next year, I will find more time and who knows, I may even take up some online education course?

I love taking photos of Christmas baubles. In fact, I love Christmas baubles so much, I am going to buy another Christmas tree tomorrow. I have been eyeing this white tree for a while already and has been imagining about it. It is only today hubby agreed to shift some furniture so that I can squeeze in the tree. I want a white tree with purple lights! I know, that looks kinda cheap and tacky but I cannot seem to get that image out of my mind. Maybe I will decorate it with pink baubles and make it super bimbo?

Life will be boring if we live the same way everyday. Same friends, same job, same dreams, same routine, same adventures. Of course, we need to keep one thing constant, i.e. our family, i.e. the spouse. But other than that, I like to try new things all the time.
Where online income is concerned, people has to face reality that the tide of change is upon us. It was one thing last year and now, it is another different thing. I am glad that I have gone on to embark on something totally different from what I am used to doing. So, it is thrilling to wake up in the morning and get on with whatever new I am doing.
Just like friends, we leave some old ones behind and make some new ones. That way, it is always a whole new world out there.

In my church choir, the members comprise age 7 years old to 80 years old. Each week, when I sit there, I realized that life is a mystery to me. Whether we are 7 years old, a 17 years old girl or a 70 years old woman, we have the same dreams, same desires and same troubles. No doubt they are different in some way, they are all the same.
The 17 years old girls will be talking about their new gadgets and accessories while the 60-70 years old women will also be talking about their clothes, their shoes and accessories.
I am normally the quiet ones because being a ‘new Christians’ I sometimes cannot find the kind of ‘loving-ness’ they have. I am not used to give everyone a hug and stuffs like that. So, what I do is to sit there and observe until it is time for practice. If I put aside the wrinkles or the naiveness of the teens, women are all the same.
This observation has made life a little less scary because life ahead is just the same, whatever age.

I bought myself this box of after dinner. You know the thin chocolates that the Europeans so love to serve with their meals. When I was in France and Italy, they always give me a piece of chocolate with the coffee and they serves chocolates as desserts and even place them on the beds after they turn it down. Such are the classy things the Europeans do.
I got myself a box of chocolate with orange flavour in between. Yummm….I will probably finish one third of it by the time I finish my work.

I can laugh when I am a bit high. I can laugh when I watch slapstick movies. I can laugh when I read something funny. Laughing is really good for us you know? It relax us, give us better skin, takes away the wrinkles and people like those who can laugh and laugh out loud.
So, when was the last time you have had a good laugh? Remember to laugh, ok? Then, again, it is not easy to find something that you can laugh yourself silly.
Ahh…well, maybe I can go buzz some crazy guy to have a good laugh one of these days.
