I went for a free hair removal trial the other day as there is a promotion going on. When I walked in and about to settle down comfortably in their cosy couch, one question made me jumped. My intention was to go for hair removal for my legs. However, the promoter asked me, “Ma’am, do you wish to have hairs removed from your upper lips?”

I went, “WHAT!?!?! You mean I have moustache!?!?!?” I touched and tried to feel for the stubby upper lips and chin. For several seconds, I imagine myself looking like Pierce Brosnan in the movie Mamma Mia! with his five o’clock shadow and those unsightly facial hairs.

The girl calmed me down and told me that I do not have facial hair. Yet. She said when a woman gets older and approaches menopause, her hormones may messed up and she will get facial hairs. She explained in length to me about how hair grows and also how to remove facial hairs. In the end, I decided that I cannot stomach the idea of having their ultra light or whatever thingie to zap my upper lips to remove hairs when I really grow mustache.

There are many other ways to remove embarassing facial hairs and many of them do not involve painful process like epilator, laser removal, light removal which involves heat and etc. For example, Trienelle’s Reductase-5 is a simple and discreet approach to remove unwanted facial hairs. It is just a basic application of the cream under our make-up. We do not need to face incompetent service staffs who ask if we want our mustache shaved.

In a 90-day study, users of Reductase-5 saw…

- An average reduction of 41% in their perception of their overall facial hair problem, with the improvement occurring steadily over the 90 days.

- A 70% decrease in the amount of time they spent tending to their facial hair. That means far less time in the bathroom hunting down those stray hairs.

You may wonder if the product is safe? To find out, just go over to their website and read up what are the ingredients used. They have a site with useful information for those who wants to remove unwanted facial hairs with embarrassing moments.

I saw this name all over Google Health news the other day and did not give much thought to it. I subscribe to Google Health news because I like to update myself with the latest news so that I can maintain my blogs with the right information.

Well, trust me. Rimonabant is going to be like the buzz word for this year because the researchers found that it helps as a diet pill. Diet pills are probably women’s most sought after thing. Although I personally do no like the idea of taking any pills but instead, stick to the good old exercise and healthy eating, I admit that I probably will succumb to it if it is ordered by my doctor.

A year ago, I went to get my medical check-up and the physician referred me to see the dietician for a deit plan. Somehow, our paths never meet and I am still happily eating away without the worries from the dietician.

If you are interested to know more about Rimonabant, do check the internet and read about it. As always, get information from trusted sources and never attempt anything without proper consultation.

PMS PMDD

I was doing some StumbleUpon on women’s issue yesterday and stumble upon a site explaining about PMDD. I thought PMS or premenstrual syndrome is bad. But apparently, the PMDD is like the monster of all PMS. The site said that many women have problems coping and eventuall ended up with a lot of relationship problems. I don’t know if some of the stories I read were exaggerated or are they for real.

Do you know what is PMDD? This is what Wiki said:

PMDD is similar to premenstrual syndrome (PMS), but differs from it in severity. Treatment is recommended because PMDD interferes with the sufferer’s ability to function in her environment. The cardinal symptom–surfacing between ovulation and menstruation, and disappearing within a few days after the onset of the bleeding–is irritability (PMID 11571794). Anxiety, anger, and depression may also occur. The main symptoms, which can be disabling, include[1]

* feelings of sadness or despair, or possibly suicidal thoughts
* feelings of tension or anxiety
* panic attacks
* mood swings, crying
* lasting irritability or anger that affects other people
* disinterest in daily activities and relationships
* trouble thinking or focusing
* tiredness or low energy
* food cravings or binge eating
* having trouble sleeping
* feeling out of control
* physical symptoms, such as bloating, breast tenderness, headaches, and joint or muscle pain

Five or more of these symptoms may indicate PMDD. Symptoms occur during the week before the menstrual cycle and go away when the bleeding starts.

So, there was this guy who told me about his girlfriend erratic behaviour. The first thing I asked is if she is a Caucasian. LOL, I don’t know why. Well, he explained to me the extremities he faces like she totally shut him out, cannot touch or be close to her and many of the above symptoms.

Ladies, do you have the mother of all PMS lurking in you?

No, not me! I am just posting about the possibilities because my personal blog has hits for people looking for signs of forgotten tampon left in the vagina. So, I google a bit and found

I am dizzy and has sore throat. My feet felt cold. I realized I left my tampon in my abdomen. I wonder if the dizzy spells is due to toxic shock syndrome?

This is weird, you know? Normally tampon comes with a cotton thread that dangles out so unless the person has not been washing herself well, how can she possibly not feel the cotton thread?

Then again, Toxic Shock Syndrome is not something to be taken lightly. Once you left your tampon too long in the vagina, there may be infection. Here’s what Wiki said :

Toxic shock syndrome (TSS) is a rare but potentially fatal disease caused by a bacterial toxin. Different bacterial toxins may cause toxic shock syndrome, depending on the situation. The causative agents are the Gram-positive bacteria Staphylococcus aureus and Streptococcus pyogenes. Streptococcal TSS is sometimes referred to as Toxic Shock Like Syndrome (TSLS).

LOL, no I am not asking this for myself. However, a lot of searches are looking for how to tighten vagina. It seems like a big (sorry, pun intended) problem for a lot of women. One of my pregnancy and breastfeeding blog has a few posts so I thought it will be good to make a post here.

So, does anyone know how to tighten the vagina muscles without doing the kegel exercises? Is there any home remedy that your grandma taught you? LOLOLOL.
